What a time i am going through..

I can hardly believe that my dream - to go back to New Zealand (NZ) - is becoming truth. But that's how it really is.

I remember myself, almost having tears in my eyes when i needed to go to plain and leave NZ, on 23th November 2008. I had had thoughts of moving to NZ in my head again and again during 2 weeks vacation there, many sleepless nights and was afraid of my thoughts when i reach back Estonia. I was afraid to lose that idea, to get back into Estonian life again and to forget my dream.
But it didn't happen. We landed in Tallinn on evening 26th November and my first sentences to friend Marge, who had come to see us in the airport, were "I will go back to New Zealand".

And that's how it went. During next week i decided to make my dream come true. And you know what? My good friend Marge decided to do the same, to join me!! That's awesome to know that she trusts me that much and is ready to come with me to the other side of the world. Thank you Marge!
By now the tickets are purchased and we will leave Tallinn at the end of January 2009. It means... one more month to spend time with my dear ones, to visit lovely places and leave for i don't know how long time. We haven't purchased tickets back - we let the things go as they have to go.

I've been asked am i not afraid of being unaware and what are the reasons i chose NZ.
Well, of course i am afraid sometimes. We know almost nothing about our 1, 2...5, 6 and more months. At the same time it all seems unnerving but so exciting too :)
Why NZ? You can understand it if you read my post "Looking back to New Zealand" and will find all answers.

And the most important answer for myself: i felt myself so good and right there. Isn't it wonderful to listen to my heart and to do as my heart says me to do...?

Looking for Xmas-feeling in Helsinki 18th December 2008

We - my good friend Ave-Mai, her daughter Anna-Marie and me - hoped to get more into the Xmas feeling and made one-day-trip to the capital of Finland on one dark December day. Helsinki, the capital of Finland, is very comfortable to visit from Tallinn, the distance between 2 cities is only 90 km and fast ships reach there in 1.5 - 2 hours.

We started the day really early, in darkness at 7:30am from Tallinn. It was not lighter at 9:30am - that's how life goes in wintertime here in north. Everlasting darkness and unfortunately we were not lucky to meet snow there.

The day passed by while we were walking from one shopping center to another. Hours went by and our bags grew bigger and bigger. Was great to know that after this shopping rally i had almost all my Xmas presents purchased.

In meanwhile i enjoyed one of Helsinki's greatest chill out places - cafe-restaurant Teatteri. This is the best place, all over the world where i've tryed, to eat Caesar salad. The portions are huge and taste so good. And the place is cosy, nice place to look out of windows and comprehend the being of the city.

Winter wonderland in South Estonia

Wow, here are heaps of snow in Tartu! They say that some days ago here was even more of it, and it is melting already, but contrary to Tallinn it feels like Xmas-land here.

Christmastime, the most special time of a year, is coming!
